Great location, just off the A7 and convenient for central Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Good transport links with a nearby rail station. Best aspects: the cottage was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of parking space and good TV reception. A wall of books for those who like to read.
Pale off-white carpets throughout the living areas made it necessary to take off shoes inside. No view from the windows.

The cottage was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The location was convenient for visiting nearby family and had good transport links. the cottage had ample parking space and a great selection of books for those who enjoy reading.
The cottage could do with a few more mugs and cutlery, especially with a dishwasher available. The pale carpets throughout were a bit of a hassle as they required taking off shoes.

For the price we paid, Cottage At The Hollow offered excellent value - a lovely, spotlessly clean cottage with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a good shower. Located in a peaceful area, it was the perfect place to stay for our trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The hosts, Kerry and her husband, were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from a few more options, such as additional mugs and cutlery. It would be convenient to have these items readily available, reducing the need for washing up between meals.
